"A New Day Begins" is from one of my all time favorite places to paint at Lake Tahoe. I'm always struck by the diffused light coming over the mountains as the sun rises. It lights up the edges of the trees, rocks and foliage with dazzling color. The water is a mix of colors from pale aqua, greens, violets and deep blues.
